What Do I Get For My Money?

An explanation of the feature sets

Fee Structure

There are two parts to the cost of a web site:

  • The one-off fee for setting up the basic design, writing the individual pages, and so on.
  • The ongoing costs such as domain name, hosting, maintenance, and so on.

Obviously the one-off fee will depend on the number of pages you want. The more pages you have, the more chance your web site will be found and the more clients you get.

Other Factors

Reciprocal Links

Incoming links to your web site are very important. The more links from high ranking web sites you have, the more likely you are to be found and the more clients you will get.

For an additional fee, we will set up a number of link exchanges for your web site. This will increase the number of prospective clients your web site will attract.

Copyright

Copyright is vested in whomsoever writes the copy. If you write the copy, it's yours to keep. Alternatively, you may want us to write the copy, and then you have the option of purchasing the copyright.

Statistics

For an additional one-off fee, we will provide access to statistics about visits to your web site. This includes the keywords that visitors typed into a search engine, the number of visits to each page, what search engine visitors used, what browser visitors used, and so on.

Standard Feature Set

Starting from as little as £50 down plus £7 per month, the Standard service gives you:

Feature Advantage to You Alternatives
A fully-qualified domain name Your web site is competing equally with other web sites Many companies offer subdomains rather than full domains, which means that you are at a disadvantage when it comes to being found
Automatic renewal of domain name A domain name is the root of your web site address (for example the domain name associated with this web site is 'sa-websites.co.uk'). Your domain name has to be renewed periodically.
Automatic renewal of hosting package A 'hosting package' is rental of space on a computer that is set up as a web server and is permanently and resiliently connected to the Internet
Efficient HTML code Our HTML code is optimised so that the search engine robots find your keyword, and that means that your pages get top priority in the results and you get more clients Many web site designs use inefficient coding techniques such as using tables for positioning images, or scripts to make their navigation do clever things
Keyword optimisation The appropriate placement of your keywords means your web site is easy to find, which means you get more clients If your copy is not optimised, you are reducing your chances of being found by prospective clients
Google registration Google is the dominant search engine. Your web site will be registered with Google and will have a Google sitemap, if appropriate. If you aren't registered with Google or have a Google sitemap, that could make it more difficult for your prospective clients to find you
Other search engines Not every prospective client uses the Google search engine, so we also tell a large number of other search engines about your website, and maintain an industry-standard search engine site map about your web site, if appropriate
Compliance to Microsoft™ Internet Explorer Internet Explorer is by far the most used internet browser, and so our designs are optimised for display in that browser
Compliance to other internet browsers Not everyone uses Internet Explorer, and so our designs are also checked with other browsers such as Firefox
Compliance to the web standards Our designs comply to the latest HTML and CSS standards, which means that the search engines will read your pages accurately Non-compliant code can be misinterpreted, which means the search engine robots might miss your keywords
A good-looking web site
Intuitive navigation and web site structure

Deluxe Feature Set

Starting from as little as £75 down plus £10 per month, in addition to the features of the Standard service the Deluxe service gives you:

Feature Advantage to You Alternatives
More tightly optimised copy There is a saying in the web design industry, "Content is King". Your ability to attract more visitors to your web site depends on what keywords you choose and how tightly the copy is optimised to the keyword for that page.
Solution-oriented copy When a potential client visits your site, they are looking for a solution to their problem. We can help pitch your copy so that a potential client will see you as the solution to their problem rather than someone else.
A better-looking web site Once your web site has been found, you want your prospective clients to be impressed with the look and feel of your web site.
You want the quality of the appearance of your web site to reflect the quality of care that you deliver to your clients.
A reciprocal link management system Content may be 'King', but Links are 'Queen'. Incoming links to your web site are very important. The more links from high ranking web sites you have, the more likely you are to be found and the more clients you will get.
A reciprocal link management system is an easy-to-use application that allows you to request a link exchange with another web site and allows another web site to request a link exchange with you. It's very simple use and requires no technical knowledge.
